WHO IS JOLT FOR? THE REID FAMILY STORY

When you imagine a typical gym, you may be able to smell that stuffy grimy box, images may flood your mind of unrecognizable pain inducing machines, intimidating weight racks, and people pounding away at their individual workouts. You may imagine “healthy” looking people with muscles, tight shorts, gleaming with perfect beads of sweat as they smile through their aerobics class. Or maybe you picture more of the old school Schwarzenegger look when anyone mentions weight lifting.

If you’ve never been to Jolt, you may imagine that you don’t fit in here.

You may think that you have to look a certain way, be the textbook definition of “fit”, a certain age, weight, or gender.

There’s so many misconceptions about the gym and what the gym can be. We get it, the gym can be an intimidating place to walk into.

We want our members to know that Jolt is:

  • Judgement free

  • Welcoming and friendly

  • A community of friendships

  • Built for everyone

  • Active health care

It’s easy for us to say all these things, but you’re probably looking for the proof. Is the #Joltfam really for me?

The Reid family is the greatest testament to our pursuit to offer the highest quality fitness education and active health care for our entire community.

From the youngest member, Zoee (age 11), to the wisest member, Loretta (or as they call her Nan), they ALL found their place at Jolt. In one family photo they summarize what it means to be part of the #Jotlfam.

“Mom was very hesitant to attend Jolt Fitness at first because of being in her 70’s and never being a “Gym Person”. Siggy quickly recognized that Rayna was the absolute best fit for Mom as she began her NEW fitness/flexibility program. She/We see tremendous improvements in moms flexibility and strength, as well as her overall mental wellbeing all because of the commitment that Coach Siggy and the team at Jolt puts in to ensuring that each and every one of their clients, no matter what their age and level of fitness, has a rewarding experience.  Mom is now very excited and truly looks forward to attending her weekly training sessions at Jolt”.

These two are the reason Jolt Fitness exists today. They were the first two people in Exeter to choose me [Siggy] as their trainer. They took a chance on a young trainer and not only stuck with me through changes in gyms, training in my basement, and opening the doors @ Jolt. But they have also welcomed me into their family, provided business and life advice, and are always around to lend a hand and support mine and Jolt’s pursuits. I can’t thank Michelle & Rob enough for everything they have done for me and their continued support of Jolt.

“On behalf of Michelle and I we are absolutely blessed to have met Katie [Siggy] and start working with her personal training program back in the spring of 2019.

Michelle and I are in our 50’s and were not looking to become “body builders” by going to the gym. Simply put, we were looking to improve our physical fitness levels, mental wellbeing and nutritional knowledge.

Katie put together a plan that was very doable and flexible to each of our individual needs/ailments, all the while still challenging enough for us to see continuous improvements in all areas.

Coach Siggy is very good at providing many options and variations of workouts to meet any and all ailments that come up time to time. Justin & Karolina:

“At first I wasn’t too sure what to expect out of a class at Jolt. I had never been to an exercise class before joining Jolt, so I wasn’t sure how the work outs would be with a group of people I was unfamiliar with or exercises I had never done. Siggy and the team allow you to do what you’re capable of doing each class, and coach you along the way without any pressure.

I first started the mobility class. Being a tall guy, removed from competitive sports for a few years I felt my mobility and flexibility deteriorating. After completing the 4 week mobility program, I felt way more flexible and mobile and able to complete daily tasks without feeling sore or stiff afterwards.

Working with Jolt is fun, convenient and challenging. It’s convenient because you can choose a class that works around your schedule. Any class or session you attend, is welcomed by an energetic coach or trainer and gets the workout started out with high energy, even at 6am. Challenging, because Siggy and her team know their clients and if your slacking, they’ll find a way to get you back in line!

Outside of the gym, being part of the #Joltfam is rewarding and a benefit, as they are business that supports and gives back to the communities who support them. It’s always great joining their community events they host, because it supports local initiatives to help people who need it most.


I would recommend Jolt’s services to anyone looking to improve themselves and their lifestyles. Whether you’re older or younger, they will cater to your abilities. Our family is a good example of that, as we are all at different stages in our lives.

The most important thing to know would be you get what you pay for. Siggy and the team at Jolt are top tier professionals and they don’t take a day off. Your well being is their top priority and they go above and beyond any other gym or facility I had every been a part of before. The money spent, is well worth the investment on yourself. The team at Jolt is there every step of the way, I don’t know what else you can ask for!”

“I enjoy having a fitness ‘family’ and having a community. I have never really had a ‘club’ to belong to nor did I take part in community events, so I didn’t have a sense of community per se. Now I do, and it feels great. I have grown closer to other Jolt members who I train with often as well as the trainers too! All of the trainers know everyone’s names, they all have fun and help me and many others attain their goals. I actually look forward to going to classes and get upset when I have to miss out.


When I was working with Siggy during my 1-1 personal training it was more than just the workouts. It was a holistic approach with a focus on nutrition, sleep, stress and my overall life to help my become healthier all around. Doing 1-1 training was more than what I expected.

My overall confidence in myself has changed for the better, my fitness goals have changed. After attending Jolt, being healthy means more than just “working out” to me. It’s about being rested, not drinking too much caffeine, and prioritizing stretching and mobility. That has all come from spending time with members and trainers of jolt.

I would recommend Jolt to anyone and everyone. My daughter (Zoee) comes with me now and I would love to see more kids take part, because it’s for everyone! Anyone who wants to start working on themselves and their health would truly benefit from Jolt Training Methods.

The most important thing to know is anyone can attend Jolt, whether it be classes or 1-1 training. Do not hesitate because it is absolutely for everyone no matter what age. Invest in yourself because the trainers are so passionate about what they do and will get you to where you want to be and should be. The trainers are down to earth, supportive, and upbeat! I absolutely love them all and am tearing up writing this actually. So thank you Jolt!”
