FAMILY DAY: BUILDING A LEGACY OF RESILIENCE WITH BONNIE, CHRISTA, AND HEATHER

We believe the outstanding benefits of fitness over flow and positively effect our entire community. Changing lives in our community starts with growth orientated people who step outside their comfort zone to unlock new levels of strength for themselves and those around them. And whether they know it not, their active leadership inspires others to do the same. This Family Day, we’re highlighting a multi-generational powerhouse trio; Bonnie, and her daughters, Christa, and Heather who prove that strength is a non-negotiable family legacy.
BONNIE: THE RESILIENT MATRIARCH
Bonnie can hold a plank for 6 minutes!
Bonnie’s story is a testament of true resiliency, despite the odds stacked against her, she continues to push forward with a positive, growth minded attitude. She doesn’t let fear control her, instead she moves through challenges with a confident and upbeat energy.
The Challenge: After a Parkinson’s diagnosis 14 years ago and a severe rotator cuff injury in 2023, Bonnie faced a period of being sedentary. Moving to a new town, she knew one thing was non-negotiable: she had to get moving again.
Bonnie joined our Fit for Life (strength, mobility and cardio for seniors) program, unsure if she could manage the demands. Instead of judgment, she found an inclusive space where Coach Piera and the team provided expert modifications tailored to her abilities.
The Result: A year later, Bonnie is stronger, more mobile, and fighting back against her diagnosis. She isn't just "attending a gym”, she has rejoined her daughters and her new Jolt Fam in the pursuit of health.
CHRISTA: RECLAIMING AUTONOMY
Christa traded the burnout culture of past gyms for a science-backed and expert led strategy that actually produces results.
In previous fitness experiences Christa felt pushed to "go harder" in ways that left her drained. With Jolt programming she feels more energized and has autonomy over her fitness: “The intentional approach makes such a difference, allowing me to feel strong and energized instead of depleted, and it’s a huge reason I enjoy coming back”.
“The most important thing I’ve noticed about Jolt is that even though it’s a group experience, it’s never one-size-fits-all. I love how the coaches help find ways to make the workout work for you. Always offering alternatives if need be.”
HEATHER: THE PURSUIT OF QUALITY
Heather has completed over 2,000 workouts at Jolt Fitness!
For Heather, fitness is about integrity and education in every movement. She noticed that typical gyms often treat you like just another number. She came to Jolt looking for high-quality workouts, and she discovered a level of programming and detailed coaching she hadn't found at "big box" gyms.
High Quality Customization: She values that Jolt coaches check in on your form, give you the extra push, and customized advice on intensity & recovery. Heather values the education and feels empower having “more knowledge about programming and why we don’t just keep doing the same things over and over. When you workout on your own you tend to just choose the same workouts, reps and weights that you like. Jolt programming challenges you!”
Heather notes that not only is the programming and coaching top quality, but so are the people: "Jolt is more than a gym... it is my family. I have gained family and friendships that will last a life time.Jolt is a psotive atmosphere, good vibes - there is no one there to intimidate or judge you!”
A NOTE FROM COACH SIGGY
Witnessing Bonnie, Christa, and Heather train together is a full-circle moment for Bonnie. Bonnie told me that years ago, the girls followed Bonnie to her fitness classes; today, they still stand side-by-side with strength at Jolt. This is what we mean by building a healthy legacy. We aren't just training for today’s workout; we are training so that we can show up for our families for decades to come. To the Jolt Fam: you never know who you’re inspiring just by showing up. Lead with your action and those who you love will follow when they see how you thrive. This is how we build a stronger and more resilient community.

Ps. We are a family friendly facility which means young children and babies can attend with parents to all classes (expect Yoga and Mobiity). All we ask is that your child stays within arms reach and does not lift any equipment.
